C++ Program to Find Size of int, float, double and char in Your System

We can use the sizeof operator to find the size of a variable.

sizeof(dataType);

Example: Find Size of a Variable

#include <iostream>
using namespace std;

int main() 
{    
    cout << "Size of char: " << sizeof(char) << " byte" << endl;
    cout << "Size of int: " << sizeof(int) << " bytes" << endl;
    cout << "Size of float: " << sizeof(float) << " bytes" << endl;
    cout << "Size of double: " << sizeof(double) << " bytes" << endl;

    return 0;
}

Output

Size of char: 1 byte
Size of int: 4 bytes
Size of float: 4 bytes
Size of double: 8 bytes

Note: You may get different result if you are using a old computer.
